    Let's get started!

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER PORK TENDERLOIN

First, let's started by combing all the spices, salt, pepper and oil in a small bowl to create a rub.

Now, place the pork tenderloin on a cutting board and coat with rub.

Once you're finished with coating the tenderloin with your rub.

Place in the air fryer and cook at 400F for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145F.

HOW TO MAKE SURE PORK IS PERFECTLY COOKED

I use an internal meat thermometer anytime I cook meat.  It is a fail proof method to make sure you have perfectly cooked meat.  Any kind of meat!

The probe should be inserted into the center of the pork tenderloin halfway through the thickest part.

    Ingredients

    • 1 Pound Whole Pork Tenderloin
    • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon Cumin
    • 1 teaspoon Oregano
    • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
    • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
    • 1 Tablespoon avocado oil
    • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
    • ½ teaspoon Pepper

    Equipment

    • Air Fryer (Here's the air fryer I like best on Amazon)
    • Meat Thermometer (Click here for the one I like best on Amazon

    Instructions

    • In a small mixing bowl, combine all of the spices, salt, pepper and oil to create a rub.
    • Place the pork tenderloin on a cutting board and coat all over with the rub.
    • Place in the air fryer and cook at 400F for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145F with a meat thermometer.

    Notes

    • PORK TENDERLOIN: Found in most grocery stores.  They are usually in packages of 1 or 2 and they average 1 pound each.  Different from a pork loin which is larger and less tender.  I like to buy the 2 pack and then freeze one for later use.  According to food safety.gov you can store it in the freezer for up to 12 months.
    • AVOCADO OIL: Best for high heat cooking.  Alternatives would be ghee, coconut oil, grape seed oil, or sunflower oil.
    • CHECKING THE PORK TENDERLOIN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE: I use an internal meat thermometer anytime I cook meat.  It is a fail proof method to make sure you have perfectly cooked meat.  Any kind of meat! The probe should be inserted into the center of the pork tenderloin halfway through thickest part.
    • NUTRITION: per serving for ¼ pound of pork tenderloin and seasonings.
    • If you don't have an air fryer - Sear in a hot oven safe skillet then transfer to a 400F oven and bake until internal temperature reaches 145F

So delicious! Love the spice combo. Followed recipe exactly. Don’t forget to remove the silverskin from the tenderloin before using the dry rub.

I've been a fan of yours for a long time. I decided to try a pork loin in the air fryer for the first time and came across your recipe. This rub is so flavorful- love that it has cumin in it, and it was juicy and had a nice crunchy exterior. Will be keeping this one in my back pocket.

Tasty except way too salty! I would use at least half the amount of salt. Otherwise tender cooked well!

This was my first time making pork tenderloin and it was so good that I don't want to try any other recipe. I am a busy mom, homeschooling my two young daughters. I need quick recipes that are healthy and flavorful. Everyone in my family enjoyed it. I was able to fit two tenderloins in my air fryer, so I doubled the recipe. I figured that I would have leftovers, but everyone gobbled it up in one sitting.

This is super easy to make and it was delicious. I substituted chipotle for black pepper to take it up a notch. I am relatively new to using the air fryer for other foods besides wings and fries. Definitely making this again and trying your other recipes especially bacon.

I made this for dinner tonight. It was wonderful. The rub is a great combination of spices. I might have cooked it a little too long at 400º and 20 min but it was still delicious. When testing with my meat thermometer, the temperature jumped from 125º to 150º very quickly! Next time I will watch the time and temp so it will be more pink on the inside but even slightly over done it was so good! I put the other tenderloin in the freezer so I will make that one soon!

I feel silly asking this, but I just got my air fryer. Does this go in to the basket? or on a baking sheet? Just thinking that it would drip a lot with the fat/oil if it was in a basket. If so, do you cover the bottom with foil? Thanks!

You can put it directly in the basket. There is no need to cover the bottom with foil but you definitely can!
