Keto Beef Tips and Gravy Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1.5 inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (use tamari for gluten free)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in your beef chunks and season with salt and pepper. Brown beef for a few minutes on all sides then remove from skillet to a plate and set aside.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Stir in the diced onion and let cook until translucent about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Pour in the beef broth and xanthan gum, whisk to combine ingredients. Then, stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire, thyme, and return the beef to the pan.
  • Bring your liquid to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let simmer for about 30 minutes or until the gravy has thickened and the beef is tender. Stirring occasionally. Garnish with parsley to finish.
