Keto Blue Cheese Dressing - 6 Ingredients

Ingredients

  • cup Heavy cream (see notes for buttermilk)
  • cup Sour cream
  • cup Mayonnaise (see notes for mayo free)
  • 1 Tablespoon White wine vinegar
  • ¾ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 4 ounces Crumbled blue cheese

Instructions

  • In a medium size bowl mix together heavy cream, sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Gently stir in blue cheese to keep chunky. Check for seasoning and serve!

Notes

  • Can I use Buttermilk instead of heavy cream? - You can definitely do that!  The buttermilk has less calories and fat than the heavy cream but the carbs would remain the same!  Use half the amount of the white wine vinegar to start and add more if needed.  The nutrition would be for 2 tablespoons:
    110 calories / 10g fat / 1g carb / 3g protein
  • What can I use instead of mayo? - If you want to make this mayo free, you can replace it with more sour cream, or Greek Yogurt.  The flavor will be altered a bit because the mayo has more fat and the sour cream and Greek Yogurt have a more sour taste.  If you want to go this route, wait to add in the white wine vinegar and start with half of the amount.  Add more if you think the dressing needs to be more sour.
  • This dressing will keep in a sealed container in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.  Store bought keeps much longer because of the preservatives!
  • This recipe made 1 ⅓ cups and each serving is 2 tablespoons.
  • If your blue cheese dressing is too thick out of the refrigerator, add a bit of half and half or almond milk.  Start with 1 tablespoon and add more if needed to achieve the desired consistency.
