Ingredients

  • 1 pound white fish filets cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 ounce packet taco seasoning
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • ½ cup cilantro chopped
  • ½ cup light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 small low-carb tortillas

Instructions

  • Pat the fish pieces dry with paper towels and place in a large bowl. Toss with the taco seasoning.
  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper for easier cleanup, if desired. Pour the seasoned fish into the air fryer basket and air fry at 400F for 8-10 minutes.
  • While the fish is cooking, assemble the slaw. Combine the cabbage, cilantro, mayo, and lime juice in a large bowl and mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Assemble the tacos by layering the cooked fish and slaw in the tortillas. Serve with extra lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • White fish: cod, halibut, flounder, haddock, sea bass, sole, tilapia, catfish, or mahi mahi.  I buy the filets frozen.
  • Taco seasoning: use your favorite brand or make your own.  Here is my recipe for taco seasoning.
  • Nutrition is for the fish and slaw only
