Salads
- 4 cooked burgers chopped (or 1 pound lean ground beef)
- Montreal steak seasoning to taste
- 8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- 1 avocado diced
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup sliced dill pickles
- ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
Cook the burgers
Cook the burgers in the air fryer, skillet, or on the grill until cooked through. Chop the burgers into bite-sized pieces and season with Montreal steak seasoning while still warm.
If you are using ground beef instead, brown it in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and season to taste with Montreal steak seasoning.
Make the Big Mac sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, minced onion, white vinegar, sweetener, and 1 tablespoon of water until smooth and creamy. Add additional water as needed to thin the dressing to your preferred consistency.
Assemble the salad
Divide the romaine lettuce between serving bowls. Top with the chopped burgers, cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, pickles, and red onion.
- I love using leftover air fryer burgers for this recipe because they give the salad an even better burger flavor than plain ground beef.
- Montreal steak seasoning really helps give the beef that classic fast food burger taste, so I highly recommend using it.
- Store the dressing separately if making this salad ahead for meal prep so the lettuce stays crisp.
- For an even more authentic burger flavor, use American cheese instead of cheddar cheese.
- Nutrition information will vary depending on the burgers, bacon, and toppings you use.
- You can make the sauce up to 5 days ahead and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
