For the Steak Bites
- 2 pounds sirloin steak cut into 1½-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Garlic Butter
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
Preheat the air fryer to 400F for a few minutes while you prepare the steak.
Cut the steak into large bite-sized pieces, about 1½ inches. I like using larger chunks instead of small cubes because they get browned on the outside without overcooking in the center.
Add the steak to a large bowl with the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the steak is evenly coated.
Arrange the steak pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure there is space between the pieces so the hot air can circulate and create a good crust. Cook in batches if needed.
Air fry at 400F for 5 to 7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking. The exact time will depend on the size of your steak pieces and how done you like your steak.
While the steak cooks, stir together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.
Transfer the steak bites to a serving bowl and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Toss gently to coat and serve immediately.
- I like cutting the steak into larger 1½-inch pieces so the outside gets browned while the center stays juicy.
- Sirloin is my favorite cut for this recipe because it is tender, flavorful, and budget friendly.
- Cook the steak in a single layer with space between each piece for the best crust.
- Air fryer cook times can vary depending on the model and the size of your steak pieces.
- For the most accurate doneness, use a meat thermometer.
- The steak will continue cooking slightly after it comes out of the air fryer, so I recommend pulling it a few degrees early.
- These steak bites are great for meal prep and reheat well in the air fryer.
- Optional additions include mushrooms, red pepper flakes, parsley, or parmesan cheese.
