- This recipe works with homemade pizza dough, store-bought dough, a pre-baked crust, or my Fathead Pizza Crust for a low carb option.
- Pat the tomato slices and fresh mozzarella dry with paper towels before assembling the pizza to help prevent a soggy crust.
- If using shredded mozzarella instead of fresh mozzarella, sprinkle it over the olive oil before adding the tomatoes and basil.
- For even more flavor, finish the baked pizza with freshly grated Parmesan, crushed red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
- Nutrition information is for the toppings only and does not include the pizza crust, since the nutrition will vary depending on the crust you choose.
