You will not believe how easy and crispy these Keto air fryer chicken wings are! They are ready in under 30 minutes, perfectly crispy, and the clean up is so easy!
If you want the crispiest chicken wings you could ever imagine, then you need to get an Air Fryer. These Air Fryer Chicken Wings are ready in 25 minutes!
I've been hearing a lot about air fryers lately so I had to get one and test it out. My hesitations for the air fryer is that it would be too small to make anything for my family without having to cook in batches. I was wrong!
I went with the biggest Air Fryer I could find, that had really good reviews, and a great price. I ended up going with this model. It is an "off brand" but I couldn't consider going with the Phillips XXL Air Fryer because I didn't know if I would even use it that often to justify 3 times the price.
HOW TO MAKE THE CRISPIEST KETO CHICKEN WINGS
To get started, I oiled the inside of my air fryer with some avocado oil and a paper towel. You can also use cooking spray.
I patted my fresh chicken wings dry, then I seasoned them with salt and pepper, and placed them in the air fryer.
I put the Air Fryer basket in the machine, I set the temperature to 380F and the time to 20 minutes.
About every 5 minutes, I opened the air fryer basket and I shook the wings just to make sure they cooked evenly.
After the 25 minutes are up, I turn the temperature up to 400F and I set the time for 5 minutes.
Look at how crispy these air fryer chicken wings get!

How many do you cook at once? I can't imagine you do all 4lbs in one basket
Bertha Brinkley says
Jennifer, I would suggest that you spritz your wings with EVOO and sprinkle baking powder on them before putting in the air fryer. Also, preheat your air fryer while you prep your wings. I fix wings every week, they are so good!
Toni says
My name is Toni,
I didn't get a square basket, I have a around one. I just put my chicken wings in a cake pan.

I couldn’t believe how crispy the wings were from the air fryer. I followed recipe as written. I did have one issue, the wings were less “meaty” compared to deep frying. I always buy a frozen bag of a well known name brand of chicken wings. Was this a result of air frying or just less meaty wings to start?

Mine did not look like yours don't know what I did wrong followed the recipes to a T I oiled the basket are you suppose to layer it my basket is a little smaller than yours.
jenniferbanz says
How did yours look? They should be in a single layer, so if you basket is smaller, you will have to work in batches. Shake the basket every 8 minutes so they cook evenly.
Wendy says
The recipe says fresh chicken wings. If I have frozen chicken wings, should I thaw them out or just put them in frozen? Also I noticed in the video that you did not wipe the basket with oil. Does it matter if I do this or not? Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to try my air fryer for the first time
jenniferbanz says
I sprayed the basket with oil. I would thaw them first
Brenda Martino says
We prepared our chicken wings tonight exactly as you advised except for spraying the oil in the basket!! Amazing!!!
Julia Ellen Daniels says
Do you oil the basket when you say you oil the inside of the air fryer?
jenniferbanz says
yes
