This easy Keto Blue Cheese Dressing is the perfect, low carb, keto friendly dressing you have been looking for! Great for a salad topper or as a dip for your chicken wings. This creamy, homemade dressing recipe will have you wondering why you ever bought a store brand!
I looked high and low for a store bought blue cheese dressing that was keto friendly. The only one I could find that came close was Bolthouse Farms Blue Cheese Dressing. It has 1 carbs per 2 tablespoons. It would be found in the produce department of most large grocery stores. It still has soybean oil but it isn't the first ingredient like on most other dressings I found.
The others were filled with soybean oil, sugar, and preservatives.
How to make your own keto blue cheese dressing
You're absolutely gonna love how easy it is to make this homemade keto dressing.
First things first. In a medium size bowl mix together the heavy cream, sour cream, mayo, white wine vinegar, salt and pepper.
Make sure you leave out the blue cheese to keep the pieces chunky. That's if you like a chunky blue cheese dressing. If not, you may want to break up the larger chunks a little.
Mix all of the ingredients very well.
Add the blue cheese and stir gently to make sure the cheese stays chunky and doesn't loose its consistency. This keto dressing recipe is so easy!
In 10 easy minutes you can have better than store brand, creamy Keto Blue Cheese Dressing.
What can I use instead of mayo?
If you want to make this mayo free, you can replace it with more sour cream, or Greek Yogurt. The flavor will be altered a bit because the mayo has more fat and the sour cream and Greek Yogurt have a more sour taste. If you want to go this route, wait to add in the white wine vinegar and start with half of the amount. Add more if you think the dressing needs to be more sour.
Can I use Buttermilk instead of heavy cream?
You can definitely do that! The buttermilk has less calories and fat than the heavy cream but the carbs would remain the same! The nutrition would be for 2 tablespoons:
110 calories / 10g fat / 1g carb / 3g protein

Which mayo are you referring to? We have mayo and miracle whip, one is tangier than the other.

Mayo as in Mayonnaise. Miracle Whip is a sauce condiment made by Kraft. Miracle whip has added sugar.
