These keto pancakes with cream cheese are super easy to make. Just blend the ingredients in a blender cup and put into a hot pan (electric mixer instructions also provided). I also give instructions for coconut flour or almond flour. If you want a pancakes recipe without cream cheese, please try my other keto pancake recipes here.
Keto Pancakes Recipe
This is one of the very first recipes I posted to my blog way back in 2016. It has stood the test of time for being a really delicious pancake recipe. These low carb pancakes have amazing flavor and texture and only 5 net carbs.
These are technically keto cream cheese pancakes. I like the addition of cream cheese to help cover the egg flavor so we don't have that eggy taste so common with keto baked goods.
Different varieties
In the instructions below I give an option for coconut flour or almond flour. You could also stir in some blueberries, chocolate chips, or lemon zest for such great flavor.
Serving suggestions
When I make pancakes, that is usually all I have, but I also occasionally have some sausage for some added protein. My Homemade Turkey Sausage is a delicious addition for a nice hearty breakfast.
Keto Pancakes with Coconut Flour or Almond Flour

Ingredients
- 2 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 Large Eggs, room temperature
- 2 tablespoon Coconut Flour or 4 Tablespoons Almond Flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar free granulated sweetener (see my favorite on Amazon)
- ½ teaspoon Baking powder
- pinch of salt
- splash of Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest, optional
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and spray with cooking spray or melt a pat of butter or coconut oil in the pan.
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and pulse until mixed. Alternatively, you can combine the cream cheese and eggs in a bowl and mix well with an electric mixer, then add in the remaining dry ingredients and vanilla.
- Pour the batter into the heated skillet to make a pancake approximately 4 inches across. Continue with the remaining batter. You may need to work in batches.
- Brown for a few minutes on both sides and remove from the pan to a plate. Serve hot with butter and sugar-free syrup, if desired.

I switched out the almond flour for protein powder and they turned out amazing. The batter was a bit thinner than probably if I had used flour as instructed but I was going for more of a thin, crepe-like pancake so it was just what I wanted. Even made some extras for lunch this week, can't wait!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR DELICIOUS RECIPES. THIS RECIPE DOES NOT HAVE BAKING POWDER NEEDED, BUT ON THE VIDEO YOU STATED BANKING SODA
Annette says
Have made these many times - just love them. I vary the recipe - add a little extra sweetener and some cinnamon, leave out the lemon.
They are fantastic with just butter, no syrup needed.
Victoria says
I love these but mine are SO thin!
Are they 9 or 3 net carbs?
I'm thinking 3 , yes?
Barbara Bergeron says
I definitely will be making these, but I have a question. It says there are 9g carbs and 3g fiber so shouldn't that be 6 net carbs not 3?

Just wanted to let you know that in the printed out version of your pancake batter, you forgot to add the 1/2 tsp of baking powder - you might want to revise it -
Thanks for all you do!

Love this recipe! They taste just like regular pancakes!
Susan says
Great tasting! Love the lemon zest. Followed printed recipe. It doesn’t have any milk or baking soda (pancakes in video used baking soda but I think that was from a different pancake recipe she has.) Didn’t need any syrup with these. Kind of tastes like a lemon pound cake. Very pleasant. They do come out thinner than regular pancakes but still a great substitute for those of us on Keto. My boyfriend who is not doing Keto really liked them as well.

I had my doubts while I was making them, but they taste like real pancakes. Absolutely amazing! Thanks for making my keto journey a little bit easier!

Made these this morning and I wish I could include a picture because they came out EXACTLY as you pictured. I am beyond impressed by this perfect recipe. I will be using these even after I stop keto since I have to eat gluten free. You should advertise gluten free more on your posts!
jenniferbanz says
I should do that, Daphne! I know a lot of keto recipes are gluten free, but most people following a gluten free diet are not keto. So glad you liked the recipe!
Vickie Brown says
Can you use lemon extract in the batter in stead of lemon zest.
jenniferbanz says
Sure!
