This easy chicken fritters recipe may only requires 3 ingredients but they are packed with ranch flavor.

ranch chicken fritters on a white plate

Combine chicken breast, cheese, and ranch seasoning and you have these amazingly juicy ranch chicken fritters. They are cheesy little bites that will be loved by even the pickiest eaters. Serve them with ranch dip or bbq sauce to really boost the amazing flavor.

    Only 3 ingredients

Ground chicken: It's perfect because no chopping or food processor needed, the mixture is not as wet so it doesn't need any additional flour and doesn't need to sit in the refrigerator after mixing.

Shredded cheese: I used sharp cheddar cheese for my fritters but you could use mozzarella cheese.

Ranch seasoning: I used to old stand by by Hidden Valley Ranch since that is what most people will have on hand. Fresh dill would be a nice addition if you have it as well.

How to make cheesy chicken fritters

ground chicken mixture in a glass bowl

Combine the ingredients in a large bowl: I like to use ground chicken for this recipe because it isn't as wet as raw chicken breast and there is no chopping involved. You end up with a mixture that holds together well without having to add eggs, flour, or potato starch.

chicken patties cooking in a skillet

Pan fry: A large non-stick skillet works perfectly for this recipe...then we do not have to use any oil. Dish 2 tablespoons of the mixture into the skillet and smash it with a spatula to make a fritter.

    Serving suggestions

This cheesy chicken fritters recipe would go perfectly with my German Cucumber Salad, Parmesan Zucchini and Corn Skillet, or Broccoli Salad.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground chicken
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning

    Instructions

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, cheese, and ranch seasoning.
    • Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Use a 2 tablespoon ice cream scoop to divide out the mixture into the hot pan, being sure to not crowd the pan. Use a spatula to smash each scoop flat. The mixture will make about 12-13 fritters so you will need to cook them in 2 batches. *Alternatively you can scoop the mix with a large spoon and use a second spoon or a small spatula to push it into the skillet.
    • Cook the chicken fritters on the first side for a few minutes, until golden brown. Flip to the second side and continue cooking for 3-4 minutes more. If they fritters are browning too fast, reduce to medium-low heat. Remove from the pan to a plate lined with paper towels. Continue with the second batch. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

This is a great recipe. White cheddar worked really well. It didn't leak out while cooking. Other yellow cheddar cheeses leaked. I shred the cheese using the larger shredder holes. Mix it a few hours ahead, and keep it in the fridge until you're ready to start frying.

I made these for dinner tonight. Very easy recipe and quite tasty! The crusty cheese is so good. I was in a rut and the chicken fritters were a fun addition.

I made the fritters last night. I tried some in air fryer and they were very good. My patties were bigger because I only got six patties. Yummy
