Who doesn't love BACON?  I'm happy to share with you the perfect balance of crispy bacon and tender chicken thighs recipe!  Perfect appetizer for football games days or a keto friendly main dish for family dinner!  Either way, you won't be disappointed in these yummy bacon wrapped chicken thighs.

HOW TO MAKE BACON WRAPPED CHICKEN THIGHS

First we remove the skin.  This is easily done by pulling the skin to the side and cutting off the excess.

chicken thighs on a red cutting board

Set the chicken thighs aside while we make the spice mix.

Combine all the spices in a small bowl.  We use salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and ground mustard.  This combo gives the chicken a burst of flavor.

Now sprinkle the spice mix evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs.

Now wrap each chicken thigh in one piece of bacon.

Place each chicken thigh in a baking dish or on a sheet pan (seam side down).

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads an internal temperature of 165F.

OPTIONAL- Cook the chicken under the broiler for a few minutes to crisp up the bacon even further, if necessary.  Mine were crispy enough that I didn't need to do this.

So simple, it hardly qualifies as a recipe. That is what makes it so good to have at the ready!

This sounds great. I'm trying it tonight converted to use my air fryer. Love the idea of serving these at a game night!

I used 6 thighs. I doubled the spices, added the juice of a lime. I cut the bacon in pieces and cooked separately. When almost done I added the bacon and some of the bacon fat as moisture. It was delicious! 5 stars!

Absolutely fantastic! All the seasonings plus the bacon made for the perfect chicken. I’ll definitely make this again.

Can you tell me how many net carbs there are in this recipe? I didn’t see the carbs listed in the nutrition list.

As this is just meat, it has zero carbs. The spices would contribute scant amounts of carbs

Is it ok to use boneless, skinless chicken thighs?

OH MY! These were absolutely delicious and a huge win with the hubby!
I made mine in my cast iron frying pan and they turned out picture perfect!
We served the bacon wrapped thighs with homemade pork and beans and some veggies. We will be making them again soon!
