My 90 second Low Carb Bread is another one of my microwave recipes.  So good for sandwiches!

This keto mug cake is so easy to make with only 6 ingredients.

It's also easy and ready in under 5 minutes!

For this keto mug cake, you can make it peanut butter, chocolate, or vanilla.

    Chocolate Keto Mug Cake

For a keto chocolate mug cake, in a microwave safe coffee mug, melt the butter in the microwave for 10 seconds.  Add the coconut flour or almond flour, sweetener, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla and beaten egg.  Mix well.
To make this keto chocolate dessert, microwave on high for 60 seconds, being sure not to overcook.  If you overcook it, it will be dry. Top with sugar free chocolate chips of desired.

    Peanut Butter

In a microwave safe coffee mug, melt the butter in the microwave for 10 seconds.  Swirl around the inside of the mug or ramekin.

I was having a MAJOR chocolate craving and this took care of it. Not only easy, quick but also delicious! Hubby and I shared it as well and I had to prove the carb content because he said it tasted too good to be low carb/Keto! Thanks for posting this and saving me. The struggle is real!

I was craving something chocolates, only to realize that I gave no cocoa powder. Instead, I made the vanilla version and used Coconut flour and brown sugar Swerve. Took 1 minute 30 seconds in my microwave. Wow! This combination tasted just like French toast. Next time, I will be more heavy handed on the vanilla and less so on the Swerve.

I've tried a lot of keto mug cakes and they all tasted dry, eggy or undercooked. This by far was the BEST one and I actually ate the whole thing. I did ass some vanilla extract and don't skip adding lily chocolate chips I think that's what took it over the top and made it super delicious. I also used coconut flour instead of almond I think that makes a difference as well. Almond flour seems to be more grainy and the texture is off.

I made the chocolate one for my husband (sprinkled a few Lily’s chips on top). I made myself the vanilla (topped with ChocZero caramel sauce). Both were cake like, not dry and delicious. Definitely satisfied our sweet tooth. I will definitely play around with this by adding lemon/blueberry to the vanilla. Endless possibilities! Thank you so much for this awesome recipe!

After bad experience using the coconut flour for mug bread (I obviously must have done something wrong) I thank you for this great recipe to help my chocolate cravings. I topped it with syrup, perfect!!!

Mine came out pretty dry but otherwise okay. It had more of a bread texture than a brownie texture. Maybe my microwave was too strong. I used a glass coffee mug and cooked for exactly 1 minute.

I was just hungry for cake tonight. We are house sitting for friends and not in our state even. They don’t have a microwave and I couldn’t find a ramekin to bake this in. But I did fine a tiered cake pan set so used the smallest. I only had almond flour so used that. I didn’t spread the batter and put it in before it had reached temp (probably around 275), baked for 20 mi utes and it was great! I did put SF. No Olathe. Hips on top AND some nuts. Yum!!!

For a cake made in 60 seconds in the microwave that was pretty fricken good. I used 1 tbsp of stevia and it was the right amount of sweetness when chocolate chips were added. Nice moist cake, will have again. Thx

OMG!!! This is by far, the best mug cake that I have ever tasted! I just made the vanilla one, because I don't have any more cocoa powder (crazy, I know). It is so moist and flavorful! I may have added more than a splash of vanilla...and I may have poured a drizzle of a coconut oil/Swerve/coconut milk glaze on top. 🙂

Love this recipe! I put all of the dry ingredients into a snack size zipper bag, made about 20 bags, put them all in a gallon size bag, wrote the instructions on the outside of the gallon bag (add egg, vanilla, oil, etc.), and put them all in the freezer. My kids pull one out whenever they want! I reduced the erythritol to 1 TBSP (I don't like it so sweet), and sub avocado oil for the butter. I top the vanilla cake with a few blueberries or a couple of strawberries, very satisfying!

I was so skeptical while reading the comments on how good it was, because everything I make with almond and/ or coconut flour always turned out mushy or heavy. But this, definitely did not disappoint. I prefer almond to coconut flour because of how absorbent coconut flour is, so that’s what I used. This mug cake didn’t taste keto, amazing recipe.

Really tasty. I've made this a few times and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I enjoyed it more with just one tablespoon of sweetener versus two (!! What's happening to me?) And a tablespoon of peanut butter. Anyone who's thinking of making this, it can go from raw batter to dry in a matter of SECONDS so keep a close eye on things. I'm amazed at how filling it is... could barely finish. I can eat entire ordinary cakes. 🙂

My first keto desert, as well as my first ever "mug cake" made in a microwave! It was delicious! Reminded me of those steamed puddings that you find in England. I didn't have Swerve, just pure erythritol I ordered from Germany, but it worked just perfectly. I used the full 200 gm measurement, and I think the next time I make this I will use less, because it was super sweet. I also didn't have coconut flour, so I used almond flour. Two thumbs up.
