- Make sure your steak is at least 1 inch thick and 1.5 pounds so it browns nicely before the inside overcooks.
- Brushing with oil helps to form a crust. Â Don't skip this step!

- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy

You can use sirloin, t-bone, ribeye, or New York strip. Â The size of the steak is what's important if you want it to get a brown crust.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ Pound Top Sirloin Steak
- 1 Tablespoon avocado oil (Click here for my favorite brand on Amazon)
- ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pre-heat air fryer to 400F for 5 minutes. Lay steak on a cutting board and begin with brushing ½ tablespoon of avocado oil on one side of steak. Season with ½ teaspoon kosher salt and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder. Flip and repeat on the other side of the steak.
- Cook in already preheated air fryer for 10 minutes on each side for rare steak. For a rare steak internal temp is 130F, medium rare = 135F, medium = 140F, medium well = 150F, well done = 160F
