I am so grateful for these mug cakes recipes: they are really easy, perfectly moist and delicious!
We’ve tried vanilla, peanut butter and barley coffee instant powder (instead of cocoa). Thank you!
Jonatan says
I’ll definitely try this!
Just one question out of curiosity, what’s the size of the ramekin?
Thanks 😉

I made the peanut butter one and mixed Lily's chips in the mix and used coconut flour and OMG!!! ITS MY FAVE!!! Of all the mug cakes I've tried this one by far is the best of the best. It had the most "normal" taste instead of the diet-y taste most have.
Kelli H says
I made the vanilla cake with sugar free chocolate chips, and it was so yummy! I really loved it, and it satisfied that sweet tooth during that time of the month that every woman can relate to. Thanks for the recipe.

This is my first time commenting on a post but I HAD to. This was absolutely delicious. I made the regular vanilla and allowed lily’s butterscotch to melt on top of them. I love it! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Amazing! Feels like I'm cheating! I love peanut butter and this fits the bill when I'm craving something sweet. My birthday is coming I see another one in my future!🤣👍❤

Pretty good! No eggy taste and hits the sweet tooth spot. TY!
Tania says
I've made all three versions of this recipe, they are all very good, my fave is the chocolate because it has an even better texture than the others. I've also varied the chocolate one by adding some orange extract, today I tried chocolate with 1 tbsp. Of chunky peanut butter, it was also wonderful. Thanks for sharing your great recipes.
Jo M says
Amazing recipe! So fluffy! I’ve been making varitons like lavender & lemon and blueberry & cinnamon. Delicious! Looking forward to trying pineapple & coconut flakes and banana & walnuts. 😛
Tina says
I liked it. I used half the sweeter and it was perfect
Molly says
I added chocolate chips to the vanilla recipe and it was amazing! Perfect treat to help curb the sweet craving.
Susan says
I just had your cinnamon version for a breakfast treat! I mixed everything else well & lightly mixed in the cinnamon. PERFECT!!Next time I want to add a few chopped pecans & skip the icing….Merry Christmas & THANKS for being YOU🎄
Amy says
I was a little skeptical about this recipe becuase I dont like the eggy keto friendly baked substitutes I've tried to make in the past. But this was a small investment of time and effort so I figured why not. I'm pleasantly surprised! The ratio is right on this one, yes its a bit eggy as expected but it tastes great and the texture isn't rubbery. It's a great trade off.
Mary Payne says
I made the peanut butter version. It had a good taste but I think I did something wrong. I will continue to work on getting it right! I have diabetes and always looking for dessert recipes.
Parisa says
very delicious…
excellent and easy recipe
D C says
I made the vanilla, but added 1 teas cinnamon and cooked in microwave 90 seconds. Excellent texture and flavor. Use a tall mug to avoid a mess. Next I'll try orange extract for breakfast. Thank you.

I made the vanilla cake with coconut flour and just 1Tbsp of Monkfruit sweetener. Then put Lily's Dark Chocolate baking chips on top afterwards. Wow! So delicious, wonderful texture, very quick and easy to make. Definitely my go to for a satisfying treat. Thank you!!
Wendy says
Just made again and only used 1/2 Tb of monkfruit sweetener. Perfect! Wendy
Marie says
I really enjoyed this I made the vanilla is the carb count minus the fiber? Or is the total carb 5gr?
Monica says
This really hit the spot! I just made my cake with coconut flour, monk fruit sweetener and a splash of cake batter extract. It was really sweet, and the texture was great! I look forward to making the other varieties with toppings and goodies inside. Thanks so much!

These mug cake recipes are the best!!! Thank you, Jennifer!!! Last night I made the chocolate mug cake and added in 1 Tbs. of peanut butter and tonight I made the vanilla mug cake and added in a 1/2 tsp of lemon extract and topped with raspberries. Both were exceptionally delicious. Looking forward to trying some of your other recipes in the future.

I absolutely loved this, it was just simply delicious. I made the chocolate one with coconut flour and this is so simple, it's almost unbelievable. Thank you!
Carla says
This tastes so good it feels like I am cheating. Thank you!
Eleni says
This is so yum, best mug cake recipe I’ve ever tried. All the versions come out moist, and have no egginess. I use 2tbl Allulose sweetner, perfect, not cloyingly sweet. I finish it off with a drizzle of Choc Zero Nutella sauce and a dollop of homemade cream. OMG, the money I have spent trying and throwing away keto desserts, when I could have been making this.this is my weekly indulgence and has helped me keep my keto lifestyle without feeling I’m missing out.
Toni says
Chocolate one was my favourite because you couldn't taste the egginess. I used coconut flour. Will definitely make again. I've tried lots of keto mug cake recipes and this one is the best so far.
Atif says
Have to say simply amazing!
Tried different recipes but this is far the best.
Light/ soft texture. Good cake fix
Thank you so much!
Johanne says

I think I figured out why the recipes in my Carb Manager app has so many more total carbs than your recipe.I think the people who enter the macros on the app are not using the correct amounts to measure by. They are using incorrect forms of measure when inputting their information. ”
Someone even put your recipe in the app and it is showing up with 26 carbs per serving. Now I know from reading your recipe that is false information.
jenniferbanz says
It could also be including the sugar alcohols
Prisha says
Thank you sooooooooo very much! This is by far theeeee best best best Keri dessert recipe ever! So simple, so tasty, amazing! Thanks 😊 🙏🏻
Peggy dicillo says
Why is there such a discrepancy of total carbs between your recipe and what I found on Carb Manager app. The difference I see is your recipe only calls for one Tbs of almond flour whereas the recipe on carb manager is two Tbs.
Peter says
Aargh! Far too sweet - couldn't eat this: is that the correct amount of sweetener in the recipe?
jenniferbanz says
Yes, and no one else has thought it was too sweet to my knowledge. What sweetener did you use? Is it a 1 for 1 substitute for sugar?
Sharal Ann says
This is SO good! I have never made a microwave mug cake and I am so glad this recipe was my first. I made the vanilla mug cake and used coconut flour, allulose for the sweetner, didn't have choc chips and it turned out delicious! So fluffy! For me personally next time I'm going to sub the egg for arrowroot flour just to see if it could be done because I like saving my eggs for breakfast & I'm going to reduce the allulose to 1 & 1/2 Tbspn because my sugar tolerance has reduced hence the cake was a little too sweet for me. Overall I am so glad I found this recipe. Thank you Jennifer!
Lia says
I made this today! It turned out AMAZING! So fluffy, the texture and taste are both so good. Tysm for the recipe, I've been looking for gluten-free breakfast alternatives and this is perfect as a snack too!
Sandy Speed says
I make the mug cake vanilla recipe and cook it in a flat bottom bowl or plate, then eat it with sugar free pancake syrup for breakfast, as a pancake!
Cher says
The cakes are great, but just a warning, the carbs are really high as 2 TBSP of erythritol or monkfruit sweetener equals 24 carbs.. blessings!
jenniferbanz says
Those are sugar alcohols and do not count as the body does not process them. the FDA requires they be added to carbs
Jennifer Martinez says
Can u tell me what size ramekin you use in the video? Thanks!!
Jenn says
OMG this is so good - I made two in the past 15 minutes. Used almond flour for both, first just vanilla with splash of lemon extract and the second I tried with cacao powder. This recipe is dangerous! Thanks for sharing though 🙂
wilhelmina says
This is really, really delicious and works great when I have a craving for something sweet!
Kerry says
I’m honestly surprised at how good this is. We have an amazing keto bakery near us, so we are pretty spoiled (and picky). But it’s expensive and not open when those 9pm cravings hit. These little cakes are a perfect fit. Sufficient caky texture and just sweet enough without being cloying. Peanut butter version topped with a few sugar-free chocolate chips is awesome! But so is the plain vanilla version (we like this one topped with a pat of butter actually). Generally I triple the recipe and use 6 Tbspns almond flour and 1 tbspn coconut flour which gives a great texture and doesn’t taste too coconutty.
Rachel says
Surprised at how good this is! I made the chocolate one using 1 Tbsp coconut flour instead of 3 Tbsp almond flour. I left out the chocolate chips and we had it with a little whipped cream. Delicious and would definitely make again.
LaWanna says
Made this recipe and it was delicious. Satisfied my craving for sweets I sometimes get on Keto
Amy says
Made the vanilla with coconut flour. Easy and tastes good. Thank you!
Rogelio Suniga says
Made these for the Mrs and myself tonight they were kind of blah. I had to cook in microwave for 2 minutes. I made chocolate flavored cakes. Would have been better off with frozen strawberries and blueberries
Glyn says
So delicious! I just made the peanut butter version with coconut flour and it turned out perfectly! Stayed really moist and tasted great!
Linda says
I made this tonight and added some walnuts, so yummy.
Hannah Nom says
This is so yummy! Nice cake texture with no eggy smell. Best quick fix..thanks ❤️
Robert Carpenter says
All great recipes. However, I would have thought you would have topped the Vanilla Cake with White Chocolate Chips. And the Peanut Butter Cake with Peanut Butter Chips...instead of Chocolate Chips on all three versions.
Jes says
This was amazing! Have tried some others and the texture doesn’t mirror “real” cake but this one did. Thank you!
Alan Lawson says
This recipe is awesome. I live alone and cook for just myself so this cake saves me baking full cakes that I never get to finish. Just made the chocolate one. Time to make the peanut butter one. Yummy!
Emily Maze says
This is soooo good! My 3 year old is on an extremely limited diet, so it’s hard to find ‘treats’ that he can have, especially easy ones.
This was PERFECT! I made the vanilla version and used Miyokos dairy free butter and 1 t honey in place of the sugar.
eb says
thanks for the recipe, I was skeptical but came out really good! I made the simples vanilla version and drizzled with keto maple syrup and added some walnuts. It felt like eating a nice pancake! will def try the chocolate and some other variations. Thx for sharing the recipe.
Liz says
I have gestational diabetes and was craving cake after all the parties I've been to recently, and this SOOOO hit the spot! I made the chocolate version with Hershey's special dark cocoa and I substituted the sweetener for 3 teaspoons of Truvia, which was the PERFECT balance! I also stirred the chocolate chips into the batter. Best mug cake ever with real cake texture!
Jocelyn says
This was an absolute lifesaver tonight, I was craving chocolate cake after watching a cooking show and this was just what I needed. 😁
Justine says
I've been craving cake of any description for six weeks, all other attempts have failed until now; what a fabulous recipe! I'm so happy and my need for cake has finally been satisfied... I'll try the peanut butter cake next.
Shae says
DELICIOUS! Better than any regular mug cake I've ever made. I added stevia-sweetened whipped cream to mine after, and a pinch of quick espresso during. So good, and it's nice to know I'm not sugar-bombing myself!
Kerri says
OMG. It was so moist and chocolatey. I had it warm with a bit of cream and could not fault it. Thanks for the recipe.
deanne says
I made 2 of the peanut butter one the other night, accidentally putting cocoa powder in one so I kept it up and added a few lily chips on top of that one-Oh em gee! So amazing and I too have made several mug cakes through the years! These are superior. So I couldn't mix them well enough in the ramekin so I mixed in a small bowl then poured into ramekin sprayed w/ olive oil spray. So close to a traditional flour cake I couldn't believe it! make this and toss all other recipes. A real keeper, thank you for posting!
Debra says
Just have to say thank you for this recipe the cake is so good. I made the chocolate cake and added peanut butter and sugar free chocolate chips. Mmmm delicious. Thought about trying the Vanilla next and adding blueberries and a little sugar free syrup since so many said it tasted like a pancake.
Barry says
WOW
I made the peanut butter one as a late night snack and ... wow Im completely blown away it is sooo tasty.
I going to learn this and impress people at the end of the night as its so quick and easy
Nichole says
I’m allergic to almonds so I made the peanut butter one with coconut flour. Wow! This was my first coconut flour success! I was so ready to give up on coconut flour but decided to give it one more try. I’m so glad I did. And a splashed a bit of cream on the top. So good.
Michelle Hughes says
