Air Fryer Baked Eggs is everything you need for those busy workday mornings or if you just want to keep it simple in the kitchen. Perfectly cooked eggs, smoked gouda, topped with everything bagel seasonings... makes this a gourmet style breakfast but easy. Just like I like it!
Just look at that gooey smoked gouda cheese inside those baked eggs. I just love smoked gouda!
This recipe couldn't be easier and it is completely customizable. You could add whatever cheese you like, any seasoning you like, and you could add any meat you like, too!
I think next time I will try ham and Swiss, or bacon and cheddar!
What I love about this recipe is I can have baked eggs anytime I like without heating up my oven. We love to have quiche all the time, but sometimes, I just want something quick and don't have time for quiche to cook for an hour.

I added some mashed avocado and everything bagel season yum!

This was good and SO easy. The only change I would make is to shorten the cooking time and/or lower the temperature. The eggs were very well done and I like mine more medium with a runny yolk. But I loved the smoked gouda and the everything seasoning!

Excellent. I took them out at 14 minutes and let them sit for 2 minutes to cool and cook a bit longer which eggs do when you take them off the heat. There are so many spices and different cheeses to use which is fun to change. I put a bit of chopped-up Russian garlic that I keep in white wine in a canning jar in the fridge into the egg and a spice mixture plus green onion on top. Thanks for this recipe!

Had the day off and more time to cook a decent breakfast (rather than heating up something frozen or reheating leftovers), so I tried this recipe. Yummy. Thanks for posting!
Shellie says
Do you beat the eggs or leave them while please?
jenniferbanz says
I leave them whole but you can do either

The recipe looks great and I can't wait to try it. But what benefit does the air fryer give you over say a toaster oven.
Jacqueline says
Hi was wondering What size of ramekin are you using?
jenniferbanz says

Sorry dumb question - I assume the ramekins need to be glass? Or the (hard) plastic ones I already have will melt in air fryer? Thanks
Emily Baker says
I used the white ceramic kind and they were fine. I have some clear glass ones I haven't taken out of the package yet but the directions (don't use in microwave or broiler or...) had me worried they would break, so I went for the ceramic ones I use a lot.

I have two small cast iron ramekins I use for shorted eggs which I think I will use for this. Never thought about using air fryer!
Judith says
Are the eggs beaten. Can I air fry a whole egg?
Emily Baker says
Yes, you can air-fry a whole egg. It comes out like a hard-poached egg. You could beat them first if you like but I left them whole.

Got an air fryer for Christmas and couldn't wait to try it for eggs. This recipe was super yummy, they cooked in only 14 minutes then put on your keto bread. Certainly filled me up. Can't wait to try with other fillings, seasonings, and cheeses.

I was thinking I might try this with Cavender's Greek seasoning. I put that on poached eggs a lot. If I substitute Greek seasoning I might use Feta or Halloumi cheese instead of Gouda just to make a Greek/Mediterranean version of this dish. I bet it would be good. It's yummy as is, though.
