HOW TO MAKE KETO BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

Buttercream frosting has always been one of my favorite frostings.

Now I can share with you this classic, creamy flavor we love…without all the carbs.  The ingredients we needs for the vanilla version of this frosting are softened butter, powdered sweetener, heavy cream, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract.

Lets get started!

Lets add the butter to a large bowl and mix using an electric mixer.

Beat the butter on the medium speed until smooth. (Alternatively, you can use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment).  You want to beat the butter for atlas 3 minutes until the butter becomes lighter in color.

Okay, now lets add in the powdered sweetener and mix on low speed for one minute.

Then, increase the speed to medium and continue mixing for another minute or two.

Next you can add in the heavy cream, vanilla extract and salt.

Continue to mix using medium speed until the frosting is all combined.

For the chocolate buttercream frosting, I am not clear you add 1/2C cocoa powder
to a 1/2 C of powdered sugar? Or a 1/2C cocoa powder to 1C powder sugar? Please advise. Thank you!
