Keto Cauliflower recipes are tricky because cauliflower can tend to be watery. Â After all of my years of cooking with cauliflower, I have perfected the art of cooking with cauliflower and my resulting dish not be a bowl of soup!
My trick? Â I never ever boil my cauliflower. Â This is a recipe for any keto cauliflower recipe to be water logged.
My preferred method? Â Steaming or using the Instant pot.
I also love buying the frozen steam bags at the grocery store. Â Don't judge me! Â Cutting a head of cauliflower is not my favorite kitchen job so I chose to leave that up to the grocery store.

The basics of steaming a head of cauliflower
- Cut the cauliflower into florets. You can make them any size you want depending on what you are going to use them for. I prefer small florets so they are easier to eat.
- Season the florets generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the water in a medium size saucepot over medium heat with a thight fitting lid. Add in the steamer basket and place the cauliflower florets in the steamer basket. Lower the heat to low and let the cauliflower steam until the florets are tender. About 25 minutes.
- Remove the cauliflower from the steamer basket and serve with cheese sauce or mash with butter and heavy cream for mashed cauliflower.
